Sharp handicapper Bob Weir has been on fire this year, and on Sunday he has four best bets spanning Churchill Downs and Belmont Park.
Using his handicapping acumen and ability to make and interpret speed figures, racing insider and accomplished horseplayer Bob Weir has locked in four best bets for Sunday’s races at Churchill Downs and Belmont Park. You NEED to see what he has to say before locking in any picks of your own!
Based in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Weir has been handicapping and following horse racing since reading Andy Beyer’s landmark handicapping book “Picking Winners” in the late 1980s. Weir is highly invested in the Beyer speed figure, a number assigned to every race run by a horse that measures how fast the horse ran. He uses the figure as the backbone of his handicapping. In fact, thanks to his proficiency with speed figures and top-tier handicapping, he landed one of just eight spots on Beyer’s figure-making team in 2017, a position he holds to this day.
Weir’s methodology has produced multiple five-figure days. In 2014, he hit a $60,000 Pick 6 at Del Mar. The following year, he nailed a $31,000 Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park. In 2016 and 2017, Weir qualified for the prestigious National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas.
And this year, his first for SportsLine, Weir has been on fire. In January he crushed the Pegasus World Cup, giving out an $8 exacta and a $1 trifecta, winning $757.60. In February’s Sam F. Davis Stakes, he gave out a $0.50 superfecta, which paid $150.75. In March, Weir correctly pegged Wells Bayou to win the Louisiana Derby.
He nailed the late Pick 4 at Gulfstream Park on April 9 and April 10, hitting for $827.65 and $394.65. He cashed the Pick 4 again at the same track on April 30, May 2 and May 15. On Thursday, he gave out the Pick 4 again, this time at Belmont Park. And on Saturday Weir hit a $2 superfecta in the Ogden Phipps Stakes that paid a whopping $1,039. Anyone who has followed his lead is WAY UP.
Now, Weir has scoured Sunday’s races across the country, found four best bets and constructed his tickets. We can tell you he’s high on Sadie Lady, the 3-1 second choice in Race 8 at Belmont Park. Weir will key her in exactas and trifectas. Weir also is high on a double-digit longshot at Belmont Park! He says this horse “had a decent debut on the turf” and could light up the toteboard on Sunday. This longshot is Weir’s top pick in the race. Weir is including this horse in trifecta wagers, and so should you. You ABSOLUTELY need to see which horse it is before locking in any picks.
What double-digit longshot is a must-back? And what are Weir’s four best bets for Sunday?.
