Well, here’s a juicy story to start your Friday: Two NFL cornerbacks were issued arrest warrants and charged with armed robbery yesterday. Giants CB DeAndre Baker and Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar find themselves in some trouble after an incident that occurred this Wednesday in Florida.

Here’s what we know so far:

While neither player had turned themselves in as of Thursday night, police were in contact with at least one of their representatives about doing so. Both players’ respective teams said they’re aware of the situation but declined commenting further.
|
Baker was a first-round pick of the Giants last year and started 15 games during his rookie season. Dunbar spent five seasons with the Redskins before being traded to the Seahawks in March.

Obviously, it’s a pretty ugly situation that’s going to need to play out through legal channels, but you can bet the Giants and Seahawks are certainly not pleased right about now. Baker’s a promising young talent that figures to be a big part of the Giants’ defense for years to come if he can stay out of trouble, while the Seahawks just made an investment to acquire Dunbar mere months ago.
