NetEnt Regional Business Manager Michael Pedersen announced that this year the Malta iGaming Seminar 2016 organisers, together with Ambassador events, Ramona Mifsud and himself will be launching a new initiative to promote employees working in the Maltese online gaming community. This will include an awards gala dinner which will be called iGaming Idol. Videoslots.com will support this event as a lead sponsor together with the Malta Gaming Authority, NetEnt and others to be announced shortly.

The awards event will be the first of its kind in the iGaming market and are aimed at recognising individuals and is available to males and females in every iGaming sector. Employers or colleagues will have the opportunity to nominate outstanding individuals working within an online gaming firm. Nominees of the award will then have to prove themselves in front of a panel of judges and will be drilled on a number of tasks that are relevant to their job description. The event has been built on three pillars: recognition of employees, charity – from each ticket there will be a donation to the Malta Community Chest Fund – and entertainment. iGaming Idol will take place on the 8th of November, the first night of Malta iGaming Seminar and will be held in the Grand Masters Suite, Hilton Malta.

The Malta iGaming Seminar was the first ever to be held in the country in 2009 and today it has become one of the most significant iGaming conferences and an integral part of the iGaming calendar. The event attracted over 450 delegates last year with over 300 individuals travelling from Europe, Asia, South Africa, Middle East and the Americas.

The event attracts C-Level delegates and creates a discussion forum for the most valued management and owners of iGaming operations, service providers and Government entities. The discussions help to enhance the knowledge of the ever changing online gambling industry.

The founders of Malta iGaming Seminar are: BMIT, the Malta-based leading data centre, cloud and managed service; RE/MAX Malta, the leading real estate agency of choice for online gaming firms in Malta and ARQ Group, the accountancy, auditing and consultancy company.
